About Kai
Kai Lindemulder originally hails from the San Francisco Bay Area, but has spent most of her adult life ricocheting between continents in search of adventure and stories. From teaching aboard a surf charter boat in West Timor to trekking through Bolivia; from leading biking trips in Alaska to driving forklifts in Antarctica, Kai’s writing is often inspired by people and places.
Recently, she has put a Spanish and Anthropology degree from UC Berkeley to use in the non-profit realm as a medical interpreter and advocate. A love of storytelling has brought her to the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine, where she continues to learn the ropes of narrative journalism. Come winter, Kai plans to return to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where the Teton Range is her playground and roots are beginning to take hold.
